Daryl started his career serving in the U.S. Air Force as a communications technician at the NORAD/USSPACE Command Center in Cheyenne Mountain complex, located in Colorado Springs, CO. After, Daryl continued on into the public service sector, working as a Police Officer for over 5 years before pursuing his 6-year old dream of becoming a long-haul trucker, in 2008. Daryl is a highly experienced, highly motivated, transportation professional who has worked in various areas within the transportation industry over the past 14 years.

Starting as a driver, Daryl has moved a variety of trailers with varying types of freight, including: ​

Daryl has worked as a Class A CDL Instructor teaching the next generation of drivers, worked as a dispatcher & load planner, and served as a Safety & Compliance Manager at a start-up trucking company where he was responsible for designing, building and monitoring the fleet safety program, onboarding new owner-operators & acclimating them to the corporate culture. Daryl was also responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance with State and Federal Guidelines.

Today, he continues to drive for Virago Transport while continuing to build the Safety, Compliance, Operations, Pilot Car Service, Independent Carrier Dispatch & Services, and Freight Brokerage departments.

Daryl has earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Information Technology in 2005, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Operations and Supply Chain Management in 2015, both earned from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs, CO.
