Crisis Averted

Crisis averted after a very busy day with one of our favorite brokers doing local day runs!

Daryl Selby had just made the last drop of equipment for the the day and was on his way home when he started getting all sorts of check engine light codes, alarm buzzers and a derate indicator on the truck, all that coupled with a sudden increase of engine temperature! I was hearing all this racket over the phone and instantly my PTSD from the Indiana week long shop stay kicked in (we are still financially recovering from it)

I contacted the broker team and updated them on the situation since they typically reach out to us at the first of the week for load potentials and we had planned to do some drop and hooks over the weekend to help pull out of this financial hump, so my concerns were super valid!

Well thankfully, thanks again to Daryl and Pop's mechanical know how they figured out it was a blown coolant hose going to the APU and a semi quick cheap-ish fix that could get us up and rolling after a few minor repairs

Yet another high cost shop stay averted! This is why it's so important for those in the industry to have a basic knowledge of what's going on when things go sideways and at least try to research a potential fix before spending thousands of dollars and unpaid hours/days on a shop stay! Especially in this horrible market! Every penny saved adds up!
