Engine Derate

Welp ... Yesterday and today have been .. interesting.

Thanks for tuning into another episode of "holy crap" trucking is a beast!!

I swear there's a conspiracy to keep owner operators and small companies down with all the rig issues people we know are having related to the DPF systems and "clean emissions"...

Currently under load that was due in Shawnee this morning and Obsidian is in the shop in FTW...

Long story short...

Yesterday evening our truck started throwing fault codes when Daryl went to leave FTW to head out to Shawnee for his morning delivery, giving a derate warning.

We swapped out the sensor for the code it was indicating was the issue and are now at the shop thankfully down the road from our yard to have the computer codes cleared. We are pretty sure that is the only issue at this time, praying it's the only issue.

If it clears the codes and we are good to go then we will be in OKC area no problem for not only our delivery but our reload that was booked for ab2pm pick up....

All that being said...we know of SEVERAL rigs down with DPF issues... Swear there's more to it than just what we are dealing with...But that's a conspiracy for another day

Thankfully the brokers for both loads are being more than cool and understanding thanks to our communication and expeditiously updating when the problems came about!

Y'all pray for us and our sanity. Gotta love trucking!!
