My last day on the truck was AMAZING!

So today has been kind of amazing for my last day on the truck (for a while)

Started out kinda ehh since we woke up to like 30 flies in the truck who sought refuge from the dairy farm last night and Daryl being a total brat

Finally got to our delivery and "horsed around" while the hay was unloaded. We got to spend time petting and loving on horses all afternoon. We met Honey, who is one of Secretariat's great great grandsons. He's 25, sweet as a bug and absolutely loves neck and nose rubs

We'll be making our way towards home here in the next couple of hours, already have Obsidian booked for her next run to Louisiana on Monday. Daryl and Drake will pick up the load which is thankfully close to home (yay saving fuel), and spend the weekend at the house until Daryl leaves back out Sunday.

My most dreaded loaded ended up being absolutely my most favorite load we hauled on our maiden month long voyage

Thank you guys so much for following us from our first run with Virago Transport LLC until my last run this week and for learning as I learned, cheering us on and supporting us a we take on our biggest life challenge to date

I'll for sure keep posting detailed information as we make our way in this new venture!

Once home we are going to start working on our website and blog, hopefully get more content that will keep ya interested in our little corner of the world

Fully expect more educational info on the industry as a whole, life in trucking, the life of a driver (as told by Daryl and maybe some others I can talk into giving their perspective and opinion ), life as the wife of a driver, healthcare (or lack there of) in the industry, and women owned companies in male dominated industries. I'll continue advocating loudly and passionately for an often forgotten and underappreciated group of amazing folks

For those that have requested swag and any type of Virago merch (OMG thank you so much for even wanting something like that first of all)... We'll be working on trying to get that piece in our little empire up and going by the end of the year! I'll post links to our website and updates as we know more about it!
