Pre-trips are important!

Y'all...Lord have mercy. I swear sometimes the things we encounter in this journey of ours we just can't make up!

Without going into too much detail on an unresolved issue...Lemme tell ya.

It's been a day.

Woke up to a tire issue on our way to delivery noticed on the pre-trip that couldn't have been observed during the post trip last night in the dark (thank goodness for consistency in checking our equipment before hitting the road each time). I swear we just cannot win with tires this year! I'm asking Santa for a total new shoeing of the tractor and trailer for Christmas!!! Big ol nail in the tread that had caused a loss in air pressure and the tire to come off the bead. Went to get it repaired and spent the next 4 hours going back and forth between all parties involved in this load we've been stuck on since Tuesday.

Long story short, after deeper review of the situation, we are diverting and taking the load to AZ until a resolve has been made to everyone's liking. And getting us out of the middle of something well above our pay grade. The details are so bizarre that at this point in time I can't even formulate the words, but we'll just say it got deep and we had to make some heavy decisions that we didn't think that we'd have to make as a little 1 truck company.

From there we are in a mad dash back to TX from AZ while they work out whatever they need to workout, because like I'd mentioned before, we have our mandatory safety audit and a baby doctor appointment coming up early next week!

Ahhh the joys of trucking!

Huge thank you to those we reached out to for guidance and direction as we navigated this situation, I absolutely love that between us we have a network of people that can be a sounding board with more experience in different areas than we have.

For now, we are tired because we didn't sleep a wink last night, we're hungry because we've been in panic mode all day, and all of us are in desperate need of a shower because...yeah, it's summertime in the desert.
